For Australian tourists, Naomi White, 66, and Peter White, 68, the abundance of food was an eye opener into the variety of Malaysian cuisine.
"There are so many choices that we simply don't know which to try first.
"We heard about this Ramadan bazaar from our Malaysian friends and are ready to experience it," said Naomi, a retired university professor from Melbourne.
Her husband, Peter, said he looked forward to indulging in the local food and was eager to try some otak-otak.
The Ramadan bazaar is an excellent avenue for budding businessmen.
Trader Monarita Mokhtar, 36, who sells her famous home-made jellies and pudding cakes, has been trading at Ramadan bazaars for the past six years.

Redefining Traditional Malay Cuisine with Chef Zubir at Latest Recipe in Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur (KL)
My parents were huge fans of what used to be the best buffet in Kuala Lumpur from ‘X’ Hotel, but after many disappointing meals there, I’ve succeeded in converting them to becoming fans of Latest Recipe in Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur – one of the best buffet in town in my opinion.
rif and I are regular diners at this restaurant, for the food selection is extensive and consistently good. When I received an invitation from Fauzy Wahab to review their Ramadan Special (Redefining Traditional Malay Cuisine with Chef Zubir), I knew I was in for a treat.
