SINGAPORE: Perfect eight.
Malaysia ended the SEA Games diving competition with eight
gold medals out of eight events at the OCBC Aquatics Centre on Tuesday.
Ooi Tze Liang got the ball
rolling on the day with his fourth gold medal. This time, he partnered Ahmad Amsyar
to win the men's 3m springboard synchro event.
Tze Liang-Amsyar scored
409.56 points to finish ahead of Singapore siblings Mark Lee-Timothy
Lee (381.78). Akhmad Sukran Jamjami-Putra Adiyto Restu of Indonesia took
bronze with 342.45 points.
Later, London
Olympic bronze medallist, Pandelela Rinong capped Malaysia's dominance by winning the
women's 10m platform individual event. Her team-mate Loh Zhiayi came in second
with Singapore's
Frieda Lim, third.
Tze Liang had won the 3m
springboard individual as well as the individual and synchro events for 10m
platform earlier to become the most decorated Malaysian diver at the Games.

This is the second time Malaysia bagged all eight gold medals at stake
in the SEA Games diving after Myanmar
two years ago.
